Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Prof. Ryan Cotterell’s lab at ETH Zurich on NLP research and implementation
• Own the NLP/LLM roadmap, spanning product strategy and technical execution
• Design and implement retrieval-augmented, hierarchical AI agent architectures for customer service automation (LangGraph)
• Ship real-time multilingual text prediction and grammar correction
• Build and maintain production Python services for low-latency inference (<250ms), evaluation, and data pipelines on AWS (testing, CI/CD, observability)
• Drive engineering quality improvements (TDD and tooling)
• Collaborate with ETH Zurich research partners to translate research into product features (patent pending)
• Work closely with founders/leadership on product strategy, organizational scaling, and hiring

Achievements

• Shipped real-time multilingual text prediction, grammar correction, and conversational agents to 4000+ users
• Achieved 90%+ automated resolution rates in specific customer-service flows using retrieval-augmented agents with human-in-the-loop constraints (LangGraph)
• Increased automated test coverage from 15% to 80% across core NLP services by driving adoption of TDD and tooling
• Supported a full product pivot and hiring (5+ ML/engineering hires) through close collaboration with founders
